Scott Brown, Founder/CEO

After a serving time in jail in 2016, Scott felt hopeless. He lost his house. His car. His job. His reputation. His daughter. His rights. And for a short time, the desire to live.

After being released, he was even more overwhelmed with feelings of loneliness and anxiety, as well as the depression he had suffered from since the age of 10. Something had to change. It was either live or die. Love or hate.

After three years of hard work and support, Scott built his own house and has custody of his beautiful 4 year old daughter. He owns his own business and has a loving family.

In 2019, Scott founded Skin & Bones, a nonprofit bound to end the negative stigma of mental illness and redefine what it means to be mere Skin & Bones.

Justin Wells, Founder/ Vice President

He is a husband and father who recently suffered the lost of his young daughter. He has struggled with depression and PTSD but despite it all he continues to provide and continually reinvents himself in order to cope with the loss in a healthy way.

Justin works tirelessly with Skin & Bones with the hope to share his story and pain and to help others by helping them realize they are not alone. It doesn’t always get better, but if you allow it, life can become different and beautiful once again.
